Selfcheck was founded in 2018 by Niclas and Ulrica Björklund, who at the time owned and operated Lustigsgården bed & breakfast
Ulrica and Niclas had a dream of working together, as Niclas had spent a lot of time away at sea while working as a ship captain. They found Lustigsgården, saw its potential, and decided to make the move. They sold their villa in Värmdö, Stockholm, and relocated to Rättvik in 2013.
They renovated and developed the property from 3 rooms to 14 rooms, transforming it into one of the best in its class in the region. During the renovation and development of Lustigsgården and its security measures, the idea for Selfcheck began to take shape. They felt that there was a lack of a good system for easily conducting self-checks, such as systematic fire safety work (SBA). Drawing from their own experiences running Lustigsgården and Niclas’s previous experience as a ship captain responsible for onboard safety on large vessels, the idea for creating a digital tool to simplify SBA emerged.
The system has since evolved and is now a user-friendly digital tool for all sorts of checklists, inspection protocols, self-assessments, and more.
In 2021, Lustigsgården was sold, and since then the focus is entirely on Selfcheck, alongside the other partners and several employees.
No property, business, or facility is too small or too large for our system. We ensure to customize your checklists and self-assessments according to what you need to perform them efficiently and professionally.
